John Good ----- Bio John Good #1 ----- Musical performances are the sum of the experiences -- on and off the stage -- performers carry with them into the hall. John Good, brought up with the singing of South Wales coal miners ringing in his ears, has carried his music -- whistles, flutes and Welsh bagpipes -- to the transatlantic stage. Never far from his Celtic culture and language, John's songs and tunes have broadened with time and geography. ----- Bio John Good #2 ----- John Good Flutes, Whistles, Welsh Bagpipes, Guitar, Harmonicas, Voice Born in Wales, surrounded by music and poetry and instructed in Classical Music since childhood, John is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and poet. He received a Master’s in music composition at twenty-one and has practiced his trade -- arranger, performer, studio musician, teacher -- in Europe and the United States, ever since. Of his thirty years in America he says, "In San Francisco it was Jazz, in L.A. New Wave and in Phoenix, well it’s back home to the songs, folk tunes and harmony of Wales and her Celtic cousins!" ----- Bio Billy Parker #1 ----- Billy Parker grew up in musical family in the New Jersey and began playing mandolin at age 12 when he realized that if he played an instrument, he could stay up as late as everybody else at the many late-night jam sessions held at his family home. Billy has played ever since and has performed professionally throughout the Pacific Northwest and now, Arizona where he has become well known as a performer and studio musician. Billy has had the good fortune of touring with Faron Young as well as entertaining with Bill Monroe, David Bromberg, and David Grisman, to name a few. Billy now lives in Chandler, with his wife, Brenda, and daughters, Emily & Kelsey ----- Bio Billy Parker #2 ----- Billy is clearly one of the best and most versatile mandolin players in the Southwest. Since the early 80's, he has consistently worked in bluegrass bands across Montana and Oregon, entertaining with national acts such as Bill Monroe, David Bromberg and Faron Young. He moved to the Phoenix area in the mid 90's and has been in demand in the studio and on stage ever since, performing in diverse venues including bluegrass and jazz festivals across the U.S. Billy now lives in Chandler, with his wife, Brenda, and daughters, Emily & Kelsey. ----- About the Band ----- Tramor (Overseas) is the new traditional music project of John Good. John is well known through out the West, South, Midwest and in his native Wales as a multi-instrumentalist, Welsh piper, singer/songwriter, composer and poet. Veteran of many Celtic festivals and concerts, including Estes Park, Chicago, San Diego and Denver, he brings the subtly different flavor of traditional Welsh music to the stage. Along with friends like mandolin virtuoso Billy Parker and/or the classically trained mistress of the harp Mary Bouley, a Tramor show is an event not to be missed. ----- Contact Information ----- Voice: 623-939-0209 E-mail: potelobop@hotmail.com Web: www.tramormusic.com ----- License Information ----- * Copyright 2009 Tramor Music, LLC.
